Grants for home repair?

We purchased a home in 2005 very cheap ($20,000). It needs a new roof, siding, windows and the upstairs floor is in need of repair. Is there a place where we can get a grant for this? We have 3 small children under the age of 5, and we are a one income family. $800 a week is our income, but by the time bills and such are paid, we do not have enough to take out a loan to fix the place. We are cramped up in a small home and need to get this house fixed asap. Any suggestions welcome :)

Answers:
You can check with Health & Human Services, or your City Hall. Many cities have grants for people in need.

Check with your city hall. Many cities have home assistance programs. It helps out its residents and also makes neighborhoods more attractive.

Everyone seems to be looking for a hand-out! I have a single income family too. Maybe you should get a part-time job while your other half watches the kids. $20,000.00 for a house, you must have some equity available.
