i have a 5hp giant vac that i rigged to operate from the wager on of my tractor. while driving around the yard, it basically died and i couldnt get it stated again. a get it running once for a couple seconds but it dies again. no business how many times i verbs the cord it wont start. there is no primer bulb and i hold tried several levels of throttle and choke. i also hear more backfire through the exhaust when the engine does get a bit and tries to start up (then fails).
any ideas what could be the wreak?
Answers: Man does that sound resembling a awesome tool!! I would love to see that. Have you checked the spark plug to diagnose from it's condition?
PS: from your addition. Replace the plug. That will probably fix it!
try varying the spark plug and cleaning the carb.
