Which region of the US? I know most of the NW and SE. The SE is probably the cheapest and lowest cost of living. Be more specific and I'll target a few areas for you

I live in a very small town in Kansas. Gas City. It has only about 250 people. There is a town about 10 miles from here called Moran and it has only 200 people. Then there is a town about 4 miles fromhere called LaHarpe. It has about 100 people. Land or property is very cheap right now because of the slow rate of growth around here. Hope this helps.

Orient Washinton. I lived there a few years ago, and it has two roads that intersect and a convenience store. The city hall was a joke, it was a small tool shed. IT is literally right beside the kettle river which is the warmest, cleanest river I have ever seen. Our property was right on the river, it was only about a 60 foot walk in my back yard to the river.
There is a little town in Illinois (central part of Illinois) called Summum and it has a population of only 75 people. The houses and land is very cheap there. When my parents died, their three bedroom house, with large living room, single bath, full basement, enclosed back porch, etc., a garage but it was not an attached one,all on two very large lots, sold for only $8,000. Yes, eight thousand dollars.
Look up on the 'net the town Chicken, Alaska. It's as small as it gets, dude.
