Does the carpet cleaning machine that you can rent from Home Depot work well?

I have to have the carpet in my apartment "professionally cleaned" before I move out. I can't buy the machine from Walmart because my movers are moving out (out of state) on a Saturday, I am then cleaning the carpets on sunday/monday, and then give the keys over on monday afternoon. I won't be able to take a carpet cleaning machine with me unfortunately if I were to buy it.

Answers:
If the lease states that the carpets need to be professionally cleaned it means that the carpets need to be cleaned by a company. Most times with this lease requirement you also need to provide the paid receipt from the carpet cleaning company. If you can not be available to let the company in the landlord can usually help and arrange access. Most companies will consider the requirement fulfilled if you clean the carpet yourself.

Sure, those carpet cleaners work well. And when you are finished, before you return it, could you come over and clean my carpets? LOL

They work, but to do the job correctly, you will spend just about as much ( Rental, soap, add-in's) as the 100.00 you'll pay to have it done by someone from the coupons in the back of the phone book.
Sure but don't pay extra for the brightener because it's only bleach and the deodorizer is pinesol. so add your own if you want it
