I have an unequivocal terrace over our attached garage which I would approaching to tile. The garage roof has newly been smooth (a few days ago). The tile was going to move about down next, but heavily built rains enjoy delayed the job. The garage is presently leaking through adjectives the edges & corners. I understand the cement have not had sufficient time to dry, but is in that anything we can do before we lay the tiles down? The contractor say if we waterproof the cement the tiles will not stick. How give or take a few the edges? Can we put Drylok or something similar? I don't want the job to be finished and hold the roof leaking again.
Thank You
Answers: There is a epoxy type coating available for cement. I'm not sure of any brand name. I would check with your local paint store or hardware store.
I would be concerned just about the edges first. Using Drylok will work and will not impede adhesion to the glue for tiles.
