Can anyone explain why it is that my skylight screen's hang on to getting holes surrounded by them?

The screens maintain ending up beside uneven, non-semmetrical holes that almost appear as if though an sharp had spilled on them and ate away cog of the screen, or a bug chewed on them. I initally thought my mower have been throwing rocks through the screen, but am now discovering holes on the screen on the second level of my home?

Answers:    There are two adjectives reasons. Bat urine and bird pull. Bat urine is very caustic and actually cause a lot of windowpane and siding damage. Birds; wrens, etc. chase bugs right into your screen and their beaks and clawed foot damage screen too.
It's mice and rats, big and small, young and old-fashioned.
i dunno what it is
are you referring to a window insects eyeshade? or just a fanlight shades or curtain? if it's an insects screen, here are two kinds of materials used as a blind. maybe the one you are using is an aluminum blind which tends to gain brittle as it ages and exposed to the sun a long time. the other one is made of polyester fiber mesh that doesn't get brittle nor have a discoloration even times past. this materials too are one used as a window covering or pane shades when selecting a superior density or openness as per privacy and requirements of the user is concerned.
