My window air condition unit isn't blowing cold air, what is the matter?

I usually keep it on all day, and I turned it off for a second, and now it doesn't blow any cold air. Is it broken?

Answers:
it sounds like it could be out of Freon, call a repair man to recharge it.

Other answers:
It maybe out of Freeon..you may have to get someone to check it out. (Not sure I spelled freeon right)

the compressor probably overheated and it has a thermal switch which needs to cool down prior to restarting
The condenser is frozen. Leave it off for a while and literally let it melt. Running it all day, especially if you live somewhere humid, will cause that to happen.
Let it rest a while. Then try again. It may need more freon.
you always have to wait about five minutes before restarting the AC once you turn it off. Try that and see if it works. If not, it may be out of freon (coolant) its cheaper to buy a new one than to put freon in an old one....good luck.
If you turned off the AC you should not turn it on right away... Turn it off now , leave it off for about 5 minutes and turn it back on. It will probably work.
its probably frozen over. don't work it so hard
If you switched it off, then on quickly, the compressor needs to stay off for a longer period to reset. Try turning it off for like a minute and then turning back on.
