What is the best means of access to treat clear pine door surrounded by bathroom?

I am in the process of have clear pine doors fitted in my home and own had them adjectives treated with wax. However I identify that they do show watermarks and so wonder what would be the best way to treat the door contained by the bathroom. At present it is untreated but obviously will capture lots of wet hand on it. any ideas. How do you cover up these hose down marks anyway?


Answers:    You want a detail ! if you want to see the wood you have a few choices, Clear varnish comes surrounded by a verity of finishes, gloss,mat, satin, or you can use danish grease, that goes on near a rag (no brush marks) adjectives of these will darken the wood slightly.
Use a clear matt varnish to protect and seal it.
Clear varnish,First coat diluted,A hurried rub with fine sandpaper,Second coat purely varnish.
To remove the water grades use Howards Restore a finish or Jasco water ring remover. Jasco is harder to find, but most home growth centers carry Howards contained by the paint/stain aisle. It won't damage the finish, but it will return with rid of the water grades and it is easy to apply. Just wipe it on, tolerate it sink in the wood and remove the excess beside a soft cloth. About a week after treating with Howards, bring in certain their is no more residue and coat next to a non-yellowing, UVA/UVB protecting, polyurethane. Since it is a high moisture application, I would use 3-5 coats allowing it to thoroughly cure between coats for maximum protection.
Look into Minwax Polycrylic. It is a hose based urethane that comes surrounded by satin, semi gloss, or add footnotes to clear finishes. It is very durable and will withstand any hose down that you can put on it. I have it on our kitchen cabinet and after eight years of use, it looks great and is still protecting the cabinets.Use a fitting wood sealer first then apply three coats of the polycrylic. You won't be disappointed.
You have need of to get rid of the wax by going over it beside a de-greaser, which is applied with a duster and then wipe off. It dries moderately quickly. Next bring some proprietry sanding-sealer and brush it on. You will need a totally good level softish brush.The colour will then become a shade dark. Once this has dried you can immediately USING SOME MEDIUM GRADE WIRE WOOL APPLY A SILICONE SPRAY POLISH AND GENTLY RUB THIS IN ALL OVER, DO NOT USE A PASTE WAX. buff it up with a nice soft napkin and Bob's your uncle! WATER will just stay on the surface and you will know how to get rid of any greasy results.

Incidently, I would put a second coat of clear sanding sealer on the bits which rob the most wear, in other words the bits which lug the finger marks. When cleaning pine after this work have been carried out you must use standard lamp pressure when cleaning as in time,IF YOU DONT, you will rub through the protective sealer.
P.S. Wire wool does not gash if it is used to apply polish or used to spread polish....in this bag a silicone spray.
