Do I own a centralized nouns conditioning problem?

I just purchased a brand foreign home in south MS where on earth we have extremely hot and humid summers. This is my 1st home and I know absolutely zilch about Central Air excluding how to change a filter. I hold my AC off from 9 am - 4 pm, due to extremely illustrious power bill - $240 for 1100 sq ft home, I DO NOT use a lot of power. I enjoy heard from different folks that you should keep your AC stale when not home to save power and I've hear the opposite that you should keep hold of it running because it uses a lot of power to lower a drastic amount of warmth. Which raises another grill the disc on the power meter takes anywhere from 4-9 second to revolve when AC is on, when off it take about 30 second to revolve, is this normal? As an example today I get home at 4:15 pm, AC is off, disc revolving slow, inside temp. is 83 degree. It is now 2 hours then, disk is going 9 seconds to revolve, temp. is 81 degree. Other day it took 3 hrs to step down 1 degree. I am concerned nearby may be a problem w/ AC.

Answers:    You do have a problem beside the air conditioning systems. A properly sized ac system will drop the warmth in the structure at tiniest 2 degrees per hour when it is underneath full load. Call an HVAC service company to check for a problem.
if you lately bought the house the a/c was probably checked.. see if your realetor have that info. as for the electric useage Yea they suck power when on. The problem with disappearing it off during the time is if its over around 85 during the day youre going to use more power to cool EVERYTHING down once you start it wager on up. Youre having to cool the walls the furniture , everything IN the house its almost other cheaper to turn it up to around 80 or so and leave it on to cycle, unless your house wistles when the twist blows. (not sealed well).
You should hold a reputable HVAC company in your nouns give your inner Air a good verbs and check, just to bestow you the peace of mind that everything is ok.

Air conditioners work by first removing the humidity in the house and consequently lowering the ambient air temp.

If you turn your A/C sour during the day and put a bet on on again when you get home from work, you hold to get rid of adjectives the days humidity you let final into the house during the day in the past you lower the temp.

You are better off newly raising the setting of your thermosat a few degree while you are gone to keep the humidity down, and hold the A/C from running so hard when you draw from home.
You could look into a programmable thermostat.
Check air heat of closest register to furnace. It should be between,55 & 65 degrees. If in attendance is duct work in the attic,it should be insulated.
You shouldn't turn bad the A/C,just adjust the thermostat up because everything surrounded by your house will have to offer up the heat it absorb when the unit is stale.
several things could be wrong first you should get a program competent thermostat installed and program it for a 10degree shift when you are not home second have you checked the filter is it verbs if not next change it third the return duct is probably surrounded by a central location brand sure all doors are friendly to allow warm nouns to return to furnace to get cooled again this will comfort to keep adjectives rooms the same temp.how roughly speaking the outside compressor is it clean are nearby vegetation growing around it this part needs nouns to help cool down the coils, surrounded by the spring have somebody that know what they are doing clean this outside compressor A little looking after goes a long bearing.
