Should I remove the styrofoam peanuts from my attic before I blow in real insulation or just cover them up?

A previous owner must have had access to packing styrofoam because I have loads of it in my attic. Should I do my best to get it out of there before I blow in celulose insulation or will it hurt to just cover up what's there?

Answers:
I would remove them just for the fire hazard. Styrofoam does burn. It has an R-value, but the risk of fire would cause me to eliminate it from the home.

Other answers:
jjohansonj is absolutely correct. Get rid of that styrofoam. In the event of a fire, the fumes are deadly.

You already have two good answers but I have to add my voice to this chorus. Please remove them ASAP. Honestly, this should go right to the top of your to do list. If they were in my attic I would have them out in a matter of a day or two even if I had to take unpaid time off work.
