I measured the outside perametier of my house, it was 445 feet. How do I find out the square footage?

Answers:
You can't determine square footage from perimeter unless the house is a perfect square. Most are not. Sorry. Remeasure length and width and instead of adding them multiply them.

Other answers:
Multiply the length by the width to fined the square footage.
Multiply the length by the width to fined the square footage.
Not based on the perimeter but by the area of the floor. LxW
If your house is an even rectangle you can do the length times width i. e. longer side time the smaller equals square footage then times it by how many floors you have.
445 divided by 4 =111.25 squared =12,376 sq ft
I'm not sure about this one too, because for a while, i thought that the square footage of the house was the whole thing. Recently when me and my parents, went house hunting in April, we saw a house that said 2500 sq ft. but then when we came it, it was relatively small as you could already see the backyard from the foyer! Since the house was a two story I figured that it must've been the whole house?!
The perimeter will give you an idea of the rough square footage. But for an accurate measurement you have to measure the length and width of each room in feet. Take LxW to find Area (Square footage) Then add them up to get the square footage of the house. Some areas of the house don't count in square footage (like basements and garages.) The thickness of your interior walls also doesn't count (which is why you need to do each room and not the whole house.) You'd be surprised how many square feet walls can take up.
Positively room length multiplied by room width, ie. 10w X 10L=100 sq. ft. Do it room by room then. Add the square footage of each room together to get total living square footage.

The measurement you did is called a linear foot measurement.
