Home improvment/ cleaning question?

I have ceramic tiles in my home and 2 years ago I got tired of the look so I put down some of those cheap adhesive backed tiles and now I'd like to take them up, the problem is that when I took a few up the adhesive was still all over the ceramics underneth. Is there a product that I can use to get the adhesive off without to much damage to the ceramic tile under it? The ahesive is pretty sticky. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answers:
There is a product called goo gone that should do the trick. I think that any mineral spirits (paint thinner) would probably work, too.

That was an interesting decision you made...LOL.

All you have to do is go to Lowe's or Home Depot. You'll need a special adhesive remover to tackle this. And a little elbow grease, but hey...you did it.

Good luck.

goof off
Goof off or Goo-B-Gone works great on sticky adhesives.
Try a small area with different liquids like Paraffin/ petrol/ methylated spirits/ wd 40 but turn off all naked flames & open the windows
Try heating up the adhesive with a hair dryer and scrape off with a putty knife.
