Back-yard balustrade have one post beside a rotten stand. How to reinforce?

Answers:    you can pound a t post next to it line the old post to it
Ive have that problem also with wooden barrier posts, what Ive been doing is replacing them next to steel ones as they go bleak.I sink them in in the region of 18 inches and pour cement in the hole to preserve them solid.
Dig down about a foot around the post, making the hole three or four inchs bigger than the diameter of the post. Then build a small form going on for six inches high above ground, same diameter as the hole. Fill next to concrete.
Replace the post.
