Help next to mouse trap?

i for some reason get mice in the house.i judge its because of the cold weather outside.so i got some traps, you know the ones that will almost give somebody a lift your finger off.powerfully i put peanut butter on them and they cleaned em right off in need setting off the traps,GRRR!!i set them rotten to see if they were sensitive and they be.should i glue something to them, get any good planning.i dont want to use de-con cause they will lately die in the house and smell it up.in that must be a way to append something to the trigger to make them set it stale.

Answers:    Try putting the bait (peanut butter) inside the holes in the trigger and even put some underneath it. Basically, you want them to work a touch harder getting the bait so they'll nudge the trigger enough to set bad the trap.

Glue traps are another option.
Lose the traps you enjoy and get some cement traps and set the bait right in the middle of the paste traps.
