my lawnmower won't start, any suggestions? where is the spark plug located?

Answers:
Sparkplug location is usually on the engine block. It's hard to miss. What Type, design and manufacturer is the Lawnmower? Lawnmowerman.com seem's to be the place to go so that you may purchase a repair manual. I'm not being funny or disrespectfull but if you are having problems finding a spark plug then I won't mention that you should clean the airfilter, check the gap on the magneto and electrical connections, check sparkplug condition and replace if neccessary, check grade and replenish fuel, check oil level and replenish if needed, prime carburettor and try start it again.
The manual will walk you through these troubleshooting steps..
Or you can have it serviced : ) LOL

Put some gas in it.

Dead battery? Every spring I take my lawnmower for service. After sitting for a whole winter that dad gum battery is always dead. I'd check that first. Good luck now. :)
Read the manual. It should have a diagram, instructions, etc.
is it diesel ? hahaha (if u dont get that, diesel engines dont have spark plugs, they have heaters)
Replace or clean up the spark plug(s) with sandpaper. Look for a big black wire coming off the top of the motor to the middle of the motor. Pull it off. Behind it is the spark plug.

Good luck
