Does anyone know a source for a considerable brass tube, approx. 50 mm, to use repairing an matured telescope?

My Dad has have a telescope since he was a kid. It is handheld, sort of resembling a spyglass. The barrel become dented somewhere along the way and I would resembling to replace the barrel so that it may function again. The endpiece holds the lens on the container. The barrel is approximately 50 mm across and 30cm or a foot long.
The telescope have no makers red mark on it so I don't know where to start looking for spare parts. I suggest if I find the right diameter of tube that I can fix it though. Thanks for any help near this matter.
