How do i improve air flow in my attic.?
Answers:
you can't get more cool air than the max the unit can give. seriously consider installing an attic fan- they help tremendously in removing hot air and drawing cool air upwards. you might also consider a separate portable ac unit.

Install an attic fan. It will pull the hot air out from the attic. Pulling the cool air from the floor underneath. You have to cut a hole in the roof to intall this.

You built a "dormer" in your attic? I assume thats a dorm type room. Did you insulate the walls? Normally the area above the sheet rock is only insulated. If you didn't insulate between the 2x4 ceiling joists your gonna have trouble with heat and cold.
Did you continue the a/c duct work into the attic space? if so you need to leave the door to this room open so the air can recirculate back to the a/c intake downstairs.
And your a/c unit was sized to cool your home as it existed. Not with an extra room. You may need to purchase an extra window type a/c for that room.
