I have a kenmore refridge, and the water depensor has water. And the ice maker makes ice, but it makes very little. I took off the hose and tried to clean it out because it had some black stuff ike mildew in it. So how come the ice maker isn't making that much ice?

My mom's fridge did the exact same thing awhile back and it cost her two hundred bucks to have someone come out and fix it.
She said he took everything out of the bottom of the freezer (on the inside) and there was a little hole in there. He poured two big jugs of hot hot hot tap water down that drain.
And it's worked just fine making ice since.
