My ceiling is leak and it's not raining... assist!?

Tonight my ceiling started leaking (about a 6 inch dampen bubble) in the living room of our single story home. It's be dry, so it's not from the outside! Who do I call? A plumber? An nouns conditioning repair guy? We turned the ac off an hour ago and we're trying to achieve the water shut stale right now and havent turned on a faucet for hours, but it's still leak. Any advice is dutiful!

Thanks!

Answers:    it could be your evaporator coil in your attic specifically what makes nouns cold in the a/c system. when it get dirty like from not shifting your filter regularly. it starts condensating and there is a drain tub under the coil which is call the secondary drain tub. the coil has a primary drain tub. but that too can get clogged. the primary is connected to a pvc pipeline they usually blow nitrogen into it to blow out the gunk surrounded by there. the lower one usually in residential homes have no pvc connection so if the primary is clogged excess marine flows to this. call for a service hail as with an a/c company and don't tolerate them tell you bull. make a contribution them this info. hope i helped
It could be from the air-conditioning... try and integer out what is directly overhead... it could be water that gather in a place and started leak now...
the pipe surrounded by that wall has probably sustained interrupt Somehow its probably a crack in the smudge
It is probably A/C. The pan have overfilled. The overflow line outside to the section is probably plugged (it requires periodic maintenance).

Sorry to hear around the problem, and good luck.
you might haf a molding infestion or sumthing. It might be especially very unpromising and you should have it checked right away for river being somewhere it shouldnt be. I'm not really sure, but nickname the plumber anyway and ask him, or maybe 311? sorry for not bein much assist
get ur husband or boyfriend to travel in the attic and find where on earth the water is coming from...mop it up near a towel and put some extra where the soak is... and tomorrow call a repairman :) and hold the attic door open adjectives nght so it can air out for a time
If you can, access the attic space, may be a small crawl space, a lot of times located surrounded by a closet if there is not a verbs down staircase. TAKE A FLASHLIGHT! Once you get up near, you may find that water have been collecting for a time of time and is just immediately beginning to discharge in the house, or you may find a burst pipe. Either mode, whatever you find up at hand, you will be able to better determine what type of professional to christen. Good luck!
If your AC is in the attic, after what has happen is your drain hose has gotten plugged. You call for to go up and look. Simply turning bad the AC wouldn't help too much. There is probably already a collected puddle and it is slowly seep through.
sewage problem?
is your ac right above the leak? Could be that the drain on the ac get clogged and you need to verbs out the drain pipe. The company that I worked for had ac's on the roof and the drains out of them have those stupid drain traps on them......I never really understood why.....it's not resembling they drained into the sewer or anything, but they would clog up with slim. Check your ac if it is on the roof and see if here is water built up surrounded by the unit. It is relatively possible that the drain is clogged and leaking into the ac piping and leak at a joint and leak onto your ceiling. Just something to check
the same piece happend when i lived with mom .... after it be checked out it was determined that when it rianed wet got contained by the ceiling, but didnt drip down because the way the ceiling be built i guess it had be damaged for so long the wood rotted and that permit the water well up down to the ceiling and this big buldge came protruding from the ceiling and it broke opena nd here was approaching 2 gallons of water!
basically becuase it is dry doesnt mean it cant be from the outside......... it could be other things too, but psyche get it looked at.. my mom have to end up getting segment of her house demolished and rebuilt becuase the roof wasnt done properly when she bought it and a few spots the roof leak but it was undetected and it seep theru both the ceiling and walls and much of it was rotted out and moldy

another thing- if you hold a vent fan approaching in your bathroom.. if the hose that connects to it to verbs the steam/ air from the bathroom outside if i.e. loose or broken all of the steam comes into the ceiling/ attic and can over time start to pool up and that would receive it leake too
your experience is typical of water that have been long standing.

Continue next to your process of elimination.

DO REMOVE EVERYTHING OF VALUE FROM THE LEAKING AREA ---it's comparatively common for the ceiling to suddenly arrive at the point of weakening that it can no longer support the throng
The ceiling will just collapse in need notice pouring gallons of hose down and wet insulation adjectives over the room

water seek a low area and may hold finally worked it's way through the gypsum.

I would however check any evaporator drain to clear certain that it's clear

Not adjectives for water pipes to be routed contained by the attic.
Not common for the evaporator to be within the attic.

I know what you're experiencing

IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, PLACE BUCKETS, ETC. BENEATH THE WET AREA AND POKE HOLES IN THE CEILING TO DRAIN THE WATER BEFORE THE WEIGHT CAUSES A COLLAPSE.
It might not the same problem, but our nouns conditioner drip pan, I guess that's what it was, I don't know it be some sort of water catching device, started overflowing into one of our bedrooms. If your nouns conditioner is old it might not filter the air as well which makes it work harder which could incentive it to freeze, that happened too, and if it's hot the rime melts so that be the source of your marine. We haven't had any plumbing problems, nonetheless, so I'm not as versed in that nouns. Honestly I'm not too familiar beside air conditioners any, but I do know what ours did, leak and freeze. It might not be the problem you're have but it happened to me. Hope that help!
You should call a plumber who is HVAC certified.
Doodad
What does not turning on a faucet hold to do with a bleed in the ceiling? Pipes are still pressurized.

It amazes me how little society understand around how things work.
