How to repair loose wall brick in Canada? Do I need special cement to withstand the cold during winter?

I just found out that some bricks in between the beams that support my balcony are loose and need to be re-cemented. I've never done any brick work but I hope this job I could handle. I'm a bit handy with most tools. I worry about any special requirement for the Canadian weather?

Answers:
yes it is a special type of cement. I don't know the name but if you go to a place that sells cement they would know. I had someone come to my place a year ago and i was checking out their supplies and it was definately different. Sorry i don't know the name but i never thought that i would be asked. And yes i am a fellow Canadian so i know the weather that you are talking about. Cheers
