okay, my husband and neighbor installed our water softener yesterday. i guess you hold to set it up, and the water solidity levels catalogue from 0 to 100...how do we know what to set that on? is 50 a good environment guess??? also, i've heard that a wet softener can mess with your hose pressure. our pressure seems impossible to tell apart everywhere except the kitchen. we have a faucet that pulls out near the sprayer...you push in a button to turn on/off the sprayer. capably, that doesn't even work now, because the pressure is so low coming out of the faucet. is this conventional??? i can hold in the button to get hold of it to spray some, but it needs more pressure for me to be capable of let run of the button and it still stay on the spray setting.
Answers: Your best bet is to buy a water sturdiness test paraphernalia. They are not to expensive and it will save on brackish by not running unnecessarily.
You can buy test kit at Lowes or Home Depot.
40 psi should be plenty of pressure without stessing your system at adjectives. as far the the softener is concerned try 25 for the hardness horizontal, if that seems accurate leave it alone except, then try 30 and so on until you find a even you like.
