Garbage disposal worn-out?
Answers: If you don't have the tool provided beside the disposal, a 1/4" allen wrench will insert into the hole in the bottom center of the part. Make sure the power is off back trying this. Try turning clockwise, then reverse. If you can't free the impellers, it is frozen up and wishes to be replaced. Good luck!
There should be an access plug at the bottom of your disposal where you can physically turn the disposal shaft. You own something jammed inside.
Make sure the power is off, and try to clear anything is jammed in the impeller. Try to turn the shaft one method or the other and hopefully what ever is in within will clear.
I would suggest you try, pouring down the Garbage Disposal about a cup of Baking Soda, and consequently some vinegar on top of it, it will foam and when i.e. done run the cold water, and turn the Disposal on next to the water running for a long time, until it is adjectives clear. If this does not work for you look for a service man or if it is time to get a strange one? How old is your Garbage Disposal ?
replace
Taped to your scrap disposal should be a key that looks similar to an allen wrench. put it in the bottom of your disposal and use it to manually turn to free what ever is clogging it.
