Technique for connecting sch. 80 PVC to threaded metal pipe ?

I frequently fail to form leak free connections.
teflon video ? pipe dope ?
whats the secret to a apt seal ?


Answers:    Some pipe dope is not for use next to pvc, it would tell you on lable. I use teflon cartridge or teflon pipe dope. Don't overtighten.
There's a teflon paste available that seem to work a lot better than teflon video. You might give it a try.
