how do I tune the carburetor on my Briggs and Straton Rider Mower?

If this is a newer style epa regulated carb, you can do only tiny turns to the idle mixture... if it isn't, its 1.5 turns out from snug on both needles as a baseline, baseline being you'll have to fine tune it when its warmed up, till it runs good and you can throttle it up with little to no hesitation.

has it got a clean air filter
does the motor burn oil
is it a twin or single
is it 5hp or 25hp
all this will make a diffrens
need more info then get the model numbers and take them to your closes mower shop and they could tell you
