Kids + canfood + microwave = ?

My kids decided to stick a a can of peaches in the microwave. I got it out fast, but now my microwave is not heating right. Did that short curcuit something?

Answers:
The component that actually creates the microwaves is called the magnetron. I assume the can was sparking something feirce, so yes it is possible the mangetron was damage.

KABOOM!

Could be it damaged something. The microwaves are supposed to be absorbed by the food and not reflected back. I'd imagine the can wouldn't absorb them right.
Oh, I though this was a question about putting your kids in cans and microwaving 'em. I know all about that but not about microwaves, but if I were you I'd just go down to the ol' Wal-Mart and get a nuddin.
