bicarbonate of soda mixed with lavender. Leave for half hour then hoover up!
Rolling pin coverd in ductape.
Be very careful of the use of powders on carpet, when vacuuming up the powder the bag, (or filter if it's bagless), will plug in a very short time, reducing the vacuum for lack of air flow and sometimes causing the motor to severely overheat. Enough instances of overheating and the motor will just die, and you'll wonder why your vacuum didn't last longer,.
pour a bottle of bleach over the carpet, then throw a large bag of coal on top of that........four or five gallons of petrol will also help freshen the room....hoover it all up and there you go,a knackered carpet with a dangerous smell of petrol.
