Why would my air conditioner only be working on only one half of my house and not the other?
Answers:
Is there more than one AC system? Check the breaker, filter, etc. for the 2nd system.
Otherwise, check in the basement (or wherever the duct work is) to see if there is a damper that has been shut off. Sometimes these look like a "wing-nut" protruding from the side of a round duct. Turn it 90 degrees to open.
Other answers:
CHANGE YOUR FILTER AND MAKE SURE THE VENT IS OPEN ON THE OTHER SIDE OF YOUR HOUSE.

Check your filters in that area of the house, have they been changed regularly. How far away is the section from the AC unit? If it is really far, you could be having a power problem. If the one half is upstairs, you could just have the problem of heat rising. There is nothing you can do, but maybe put another thermostat upstairs. Obviously you have to look at your ducts, but the filter is the only problem I can think of with the ducts. Good luck and I hope this helps.
if you have two thermostats you have two zones check breakers first then check dampers.if you have a crawl space or attic see if any duct work fell apart
