How to use a wood-burning fire place with a gas "BlueFlame Lighter"?

I have a fireplace that is a wood-burning, but comes with a gas lighter (The lighter is called "BlueFlame Lghter).

How to use this lighter? And do I need to turn the gas lighter off after the wood has been lighted?

Thanks!

Answers:
Stack your wood. Get a long match or preferably a long grill lighter and light it first. Then turn on the gas to the Blue Flame.
Start out slow so. After its lit you turn it up on high or just until the wood starts to burn on its own. Then turn off the Blue Flame.
Just be sure that your flue is open anytime you use the flame, it is a vented product.
