We are trying to decide between Schlage, Kwikset, and or the Homedepot brand(pegusus i think) or lowes Brand(not sure of name).
Answers:
I prefer Schlage and try to use it exclusively.
I find the mechanisms to be of a higher quality and more durable over the long term.
Kwikset, is probably a close second, but I'd use them as interior locks.
I'd look at warrantees, and decide how long you might want the lock to exist.
