does anybody know how to get dry paint off a carpet?
Answers:
The hardware store has stuff to help with that kind of paint removal.

Try goo-off, any hardware store should have it.

take a can of oops! and spray it on the paint. then you let it soak in then you take a wet washcloth and scrub really hard. it'll come out. after you done that, the carpet will be wet but let it dry out.
You will ruin the carpet if you use paint thinner. So I would suggest that you trim (cut) it off.
try goo gone or finger nail polish!
All suggestions listed sounds like they will work--try them--oops, goof off, etc.and get back with us--I'd like to know also--sister-in-law has same problem.
I have an easy solution to your problem without using chemicals or solvents etc. the tip is a simple one..if it is only a small spill or splashes, get a brand new stanley blade and scrape the paint while holding the blade so that the sharp edge is sitting flat on the carpet and the blade is standing straight up...keep scraping along the top of the carpet and the paint should come off...you will find that the nap of the carpet ( fuzz) will start building up...but don't worry, the carpet will be fine...good luck
try using finger nail polish remover but dont use much it will stain your carpet. Or if its not a lot try cutting the tips off with scissors
