Is it really necessary to water a concrete slab foundation? And if so, how often?
Answers:
After being poured, concrete should be kept moist for four or five days. Rapid drying weakens the concrete. A good idea is to place cloths over the consrete a couple of hours after it has been poured ( wait that long to keep from marring the surface ). Water down the cloths. The thicker the cloth coverings, the longer they will stay moist. Remember, the idea is to avoid rapid drying.

Not really, but it helps it cure slower and make the concrete stronger. I've poured slabs and kept them wet for a few days, and others I didn't, and they all have turned out just fine. But if you do decide to, once a day is good, and keep it covered with plastic. A few days should be fine. And it takes concrete approx 28 days to cure, depending on size and thickness.

after 12 hours you can water the slab down the more water the slower the curing proses this makes the concrete way stronger and concrete slabs tend to crack when drying to fast 3 times a day would do the trick you can do this for 3-4 days

No you do not have to water your 50 year old foundation. That is one of the funniest things I've heard in a long time. But now I know what my neighbor ( also known as rubber head) is doing outside right now.
