I just purchased a house a few months ago. Having lived in apartments up til now, I have never had to operate a water softener. I am a dunce with all things technical and don't want to dump the salt into the wrong place.... I have looked online for diagrams but cannot find anything, and since the house was 8 years old at the time of purchase, the previous owners couldn't find the manual. Anyone willing to give me some guidance????

I don't know where YOURS is, but ours is outside. It's about 3 feet tall or so and about 20 inches in diameter. It needs servicing periodically by Ecowater Systems, you could also try calling the office, give 'm your address and see if they have it in their system.
