I bought a used table & the screw holes are too big for the screws. Moving/drilling new holes is not an option

I tried moving the legs but the top of the table needs to be parallel to add the top of the table. I don't know what to do? Should I fill the holes? How would I do that? HELP?!?!

Answers:
fill them with putty. let dry and then re set the screws.

Other answers:
Fill the holes with a top grade Wood Filler & re-set the screws or get larger screws to use in the over size old holes.

What about drywall anchors?
Insert toothpicks into the holes to tighten the screws. The toothpicks may need to be glued into place depending on the situation.
Use bigger screws???
I believe you can purchase caulking for wood. Try any hardware store. Fill in the holes completely and then insert new screws.
go to the hardware store or building supply, buy larger diameter screws, take one of the old ones with you to compare. You want them to be the right length.
Do NOT use wood putty or filler, it is to soft and will not hold up, and epoxy mixes are expensive and not much better.
If the table was used it is likely that the original screws were lost and somebody substituted the smaller size because they had them handy, that happens a lot.
dont use putty because that will not hold the screw. dill the hole to 3/8"(or any size of a dowel) and set a dowel in with wood glue. wait for it to dry and you are ready to predrill and screw.
You can use tooth picks and glue to fill in the holes. After the wood filler glue and tooth picks have set you can then use the screws to attach the legs to the table top.
