how do i get over spray from my neighbors house painting project, off of my house and cars?

Answers:
Actually, DO NOT use mineral spirits. It will do nothing for dried latex paint. And I seriously doubt if your neighbor used an oil base on his exterior. And since most car paint is laquer based, mineral spirits could dull your finish. The idiot who told you that should stick to questions he knows something about, or not answer AT ALL! The best way to get it off your car is to have it buffed out with a poilishing compound by a professional car detailer. Make sure he follows this with a wax. As far as getting latex paint off your own house paint....hate to break the news to you, but touching up or recoating is pretty much your only options. You can take a razor blade to the windows, but if they are dual glazed (dual pane) then make sure you use a new blade on each window and only PUSH never drag the blade backwards over the glass, as it will leave scratches.

it may just rub right off. if not, i'd have his insurance pay for it.
