I have a 7 year antediluvian Sears Gas Hot Water Heater. Several times when we have gone away for a light of day or more it seems as if the river heater go off and we individual have luke melt water for a shower, etc. I turn down to check the pilot lite and the burner is then working fine, and the hot hose down heater continues to work properly. Does anyone know what the problem might be?
Answers: It is going into "Energy Saver" mode. Just turn on a hot hose tap for a few minutes when you first gain home to "wake it up" and you will win a nice hot shower in 20 minutes or so.

Since you said you entail to go down to check it I assume it is contained by a basement, you obligation to have a fresh nouns inlet piped in for combustion. Or you may own too much air blowing out the flame. I would suspect the first one. Go to your local building department for information on installing one.
