we have an old house in scotland with a beautiful old floor but years of feet have ingrained dirt. i bought tile cleaners and polishers and it looks lovely but i know i could still get the colours more like new.

Muratic acid very cheap and will clean anything off the tile and grout. Maqke sure to have gloves and glasses on .

Try some type of achohol wipe and when as clean as you want reseal the tiles to protect for more years.
