I just bought a new refrigerator from Sears, and they delivered a USED one. Has this happened to anybody else?
Answers:
No, I bought a Sears fridge too but I'm not in Texas. Take some photos just in case, and record the serial number. If Sears gives you any trouble contact the Dallas office of the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division at 214-969-5310.

Nothing quite like that, but most major retaillers will make good.
Did you buy it on a credit card? That's the best way, they will usually provide consumer protection. Call them and challenge the issue right away. Simply say the fridge doesn't work properly, and explain that it was deliverd and not easily returned.
Credit cards are pretty good.
I suspect you got a bad criminal working in your distribution center. Hopefully you can get him fired.

What you got was a product that had been previously sold to another customer, & returned because it had quit working. Sears puts these back on the floor after repairing them, but is required to Tag & sell these as refurbished merchandise.
Sounds like this one didn't get fixed properly. from what you're describing, it had a serious problem in the cooling system, maybe a compressor changed out.
No that I think has never happened to me but it did amuse me a little to read you entire question. I live in S. Oklahoma so I think I know what you mean. Im sorry that you went through that Remember EVERY ONE HAS A BOSS. If you want start from the top. Good Luck and thanks
sounds like you need to call customer service and get a refund.....
that sounds like a mix -up and why wasn't the fridge in a box or why didn't they ask you if it was right before they left?
Wow, that sucks
I once had a new furnace installed from Sears and all the panels were damaged. The only way I could get them to replace them was to stop payment. That did the trick. That is the law in this state if you can't get any other satisfaction. MO.
yes it has happend to me before.
I got a fridge brand new one from Sears once. They hired a delivery service that put it on its side for delivery. I thought that odd.
Plugged it in and it rattled. The service technician said there were loose bolts in the ...can't remember the part name the one that cools and replaced it. I was a little disappointed I didn't want a huge repair on my new fridge. I mean you buy them they should be new. Your paying for the new price if you wanted used you would have gone to the scratch and dented place.
I've had similar experiences with other products but not not with the refrigerator. They'll probably replace it if you explain the situation to them and promptly demand a new one.
One day you will laugh about this, but take heart. No other company in the world will handle your complaint like Sears. Satisfaction Guaranteed.
No matter whose fault, they will back it up.
