Live in the country, whats the best way to get rid of wasps and bees from around the porch area?
Answers:
blow up and tie paper lunch sacks and hang them around...The bees and wasps think it is another nest and as they are territorial they will stay away!....One every 50 ft or so should do the trick!

You can get one of those bee traps (jars) that uses sugar water, but the bees & wasps are probably there because there are flowers nearby that they like, or they have made a nest in/under your porch.

Plant Marigolds, in pots, and place them around your porch in a uniform fashion. They should go away, but you might have the occasional bee trying to pollinate the flowers.
Raid Ant and Wasp killer...a little dab'l do ya. Keep the bees away, if they look like bumble bees (big ole things that are black and yellow), they are probably borer bees and can do some wood damage.
i live in the sticks myself, and i have found that if you hang a 2 liter soda bottle from a string and put water in it and mark it up with a red marker and simply hang them around your porch the bees, wasps, and flies will stay away!
Its weird but it works!
