why are the leaves falling off my ficus plant?

I water it once a week, it gets fertilizer and plenty of sunlight, it appears healthy it just won't get bushy, anyone know any tricks to keep it leaves. I have other houseplants that do well, it's just the ficus that's having problems

Answers:
Ficus don't generally do well in homes. They don't seem to like the temperature and humidity conditions that are comfortable for people.

The healthy, bushy ficus trees that you see in public places come from plant services that change them when they start looking ratty. If yours is healthy, you are ahead of the game.

There's always the tactic of getting an artificial ficus of the size and shape you want. There are some realistic-looking ones available.

A ficus tree doesn't like to be moved. Have you just transplanted it or moved it to a different location? If so, give it time. It will come out of it.

A Ficus is very picky! If you have moved it, it will take a while to adjust. If you haven't, then you should.Find another place, give it a month and see if that helps. They are like cats, very finicky.
