I had a similar problem that I solved with solid rat poisoning tablets. The tablets are bright green and are flavored so they are irrisistible to rodents. Once the rodent eats the bait, they die. I bought them at the grocery store in the pest section. The down side to this method is that you will end up having to pick up the dead rodent.
there are many kind of mouse traps, some rotate, others are plastic and when they walk in falls like a see saw and locks then in, it doesnt kill them so you decide if you want to drown them or set them free in your neighbors house LOL peanut butter is a good bait
a cat will help out. not necessarily yours, but u can "invite" your neighbor's to your home for a day to get rid of the rat.
Mouse?Brrrr..
EEEK !! No problem!! just mix up a small batch of peanut butter and mice/rat killer pellets, and set it in your closet. It sounds to me as if you have tried everything but the pellets and pnut butter. Give it a try!! Hope it works for you as it does for me! I am surrounded by filds of corn and beans, so i know where you are coming from.OH!! place this mixture in other spots of home where you see droplings too. good luck
not sure b\wat to do. just try not to kill it. just trap it, sterilize it, n release it. urrh.
It's not a he, it's a she. Mice are only so territorial when they are nesting. If you kill her you will also kill her young, and you may have to destroy a wall to get the smell of that out. Usually mice and rats will remain in a place with a plentiful food source, If you keep food out and open in your room they will stay around as long as it's there. You may not be averse to killing them, but you will create more problems than you solve if you do. Just make sure you have no food out and available for them, and that your room mate doesn't either. Or at least make sure the food you do keep is contained, tightly sealed and packed away. Then in a week or so they will leave on their own.
What I do in that situation, I have a little .22 pistol that I buy bird shot for and shoot the little bastards. But another Idea is you get a pail (something deep and hard plastic) put a ramp on the side and put some food in the bottom. put a little food up the ramp too. They will find it and start eating. eventually they will jump into the bucket and be stuck there.

Then have a good laff at the bugger and dispose of it in your choice of fashions
Hey common´give the little bastard the chance... How´ll you felt if someone tries to kill you just for flitting with a nice guy...

And answering your question i recommend you to read "The Path to the Nirvana" and hear the Beatles "Live and let Die" ("Imagine" will also work on this matter...)

"Imagine all the mouses, living life in peace... Yuju uuu.... You may say i´m a dreamer, but it´s only Diazepan..."
