What does this mean " It is important that a 2" diameter was pool surounds that wick when burning" ?
When lighting this candle for the first time, allow it to burn 2 hours, then extinguish. After wax has become cool and firm repeat this step several times. It is important that a 2" diameter was pool surrounds that wick when burning. After each burning trim the wick so that 1/4" of black area remains.
Answers:
that means one inch from the wick all the way around the top of the candle needs to be lower then the outside rim. My wife bought one of those and i just dug out the wax using a spoon then i cut the wick to size.

I'm guessing that this is a pillar candle you're talking about? From my own experience, lol if you don't follow the directions, you end up with a wobbly-edged mess that sometimes will spill melted wax all over your table, etc. like a volcano with its lava flow ;)

When you light a candle for the first time it should be allowed to burn to the edges because when you relight it it will burn evenly. If you don't let it burn to the edges it will tunnel down to the bottom and the candle will be wasted. The wick should be trimmed down when cooled because it will flame up. Partylite candles are the best candles to burn. They are fantastic. They also have a good website to visit.
