where does the white go when the snow melts?

just wondering,ya know

Answers:
The "white" goes back into the atmosphere... it is just trapped air in the frozen water that makes up snow...

Other answers:
becomes water.
becomes water.
its never really white, it's like when you cut up ice, like in a slushy, it just looks white because it has been just, + ice is a crystal like structor and...I lost my train of thought... oh yeah, its not the ice your seeing its the gass thats trapped within it...or something like that, like oxygen.
It becomes clear water
Snow is white because the crystals of frozen water reflect light instead of absorbing it. What little light is absorbed is absorbed over all wavelengths, so the snow appears white. When snow melts, the crystals become liquid and has different physical properties.
