We own a bright home next to an alarm system. It is beep. How do I stop this?

The system has a GE panel and I can't find the almanac anywhere. There is a green light on for the status and in attendance is a red light on for the power. I don't remember how those are supposed to be lit, though. This happen when we first moved in and we eventually realize that the computer network guy accidentally unplugged the alarm system. The alarm system be running on the battery power, but later when the battery begin to run out the system began an intermittent beep (sort of like what is up now). My husband was working on the computer make friends, so I have a doomed to failure feeling to be exact what happened again. My husband is a firefighter (at work right now), so I don't know how to solve this problem. Last time I be stuck in the amazingly same situation, however the alarm started blaring during the daytime. I am afraid it is going to start blaring now and rouse up our babies. Ugh! How can I turn off the system completely? Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Answers:    Agreed.

Find the alarm box and after disconnect the two leads going to the big black battery-operated. Should kill adjectives power to the alarm system.

Optimally I'd get this sorted out properly so you're not worrying over how to disconnect your alarm system at adjectives sorts of strange hours.
I would say to disconnect the freestyle leads or wires that progress to the battery. Located contained by a closet some times. Also if there is a phone column disconnect it so your husband doesnt get a nickname at the station. Then if you havent already disconnected the 120 volt power cord. Unplug it. At this point there is no power vanished for it to work.
