Ants on my kitchen counter?

I don't believe in killing God's creatures. I am looking or an effective method of ridding these creatures. My kitchen is spotless and clean of any food. The outside weather is cool. I tried pounding the counter, use a radio and sprayed diluted amonnia on the counter for smell. Any one have any other solutions. Plus do ant hear, smell or see colors.

Believe it or not, Windex kills ants. After killing the visible ants in the house, spray a light mist around the area that they are coming in. You just have to remember to refresh the area after shampooing or washing. It really does work. So spray the area before the ants come and you will deter them.

I don't know much about ants senses.

Try this buy some small apples and pierce some cloves in them , the cloves will stick out. It helped us at home. And it sure did smell nice.

just use cinnamin they hate the stuff.
try sprinkling some ground up dry herbs on the counter.. some ants are repelled by them..

You could try feeding them outside and hope they won't need to come inside. Cinnamon interferes with their ability to communicate -- they become confused and unable to follow a trail. Sprinkle it atop the counter. Good luck.
