Hi,how can I grow shallot seed into sets and afterwards into more shallots.?
Answers: Just leave them to their own devices surrounded by the garden, they know how to do it, they are Shallots.
Using seeds is a spend foolishly of time. Put your sets in this year, they will bulk up to form several shallots, use what you want, but recover some (dry them in the sun) to plant subsequent year. So the process goes on and on. The knob is saving and drying and storeing over winter your subsequent years crop.
