Canvey Island, any one live within? we are thinking of moving?
Answers: Canvey Island used to be very run down but presently the local government enjoy invested large amounts of money to re-generate and bring the place backbone to life. There are bright houses and shops and the sea front have a nice 'old fashioned' have a feeling to it. The beaches are perfect but tend to get crowded surrounded by the summer. Housing is very affordable and within general, exceedingly nice. Why don't you book a weeks holiday in the nouns and sample the delight it has to present for yourself, that way you won't produce an expensive mistake by moving there and afterwards finding you don't like it.
I lived in that and taught contained by a school in attendance from 1996 to 1999. My personal opinion is it is not great (aesthetically at least) but it really depends on what you approaching.
There isn't much to do and there are no nice shops.
I found the houses are built highly closely together and the whole place looks run down and contained by dis-repair. I moved off canvey after a year and bought a house within nearby Leigh-on-Sea which is much nicer
Yes I live here.
It's a honest place to live. Lots of shops. Beaches are nice in the summer and right schools.
Generally folks are friendly.
The only down side I hold found is traffic at rush hour. It can take a while to acquire through it all.
I've be her 13 years and not leaving anytime soon.
