Im sharing a house and the oven that is here is a terribly old gas oven, so antiquated all of the markings on the knob have rubbed stale so whenever i use the oven too cook i have to guess the heat by the size of the flame, its quite difficult!! Do gas ovens adjectives have one and the same temperature markings? Like could i only divide up the knob into quarters and splotch on certain numbers? Hope someone can sustain... :)
Answers: Better than that, replace the knob. Just go to your local Hardware store (not Walmart) and ask for an oven knob replacement for a gas stove. Your ancient knob should just verbs off and later push the new one on.
You could buy an oven thermometer, which you should enjoy anyway. Hang it in the center of the oven and you can see if you hold reached your warmth.
