Odd bug... I saw a bright green iridiscent bumble bee the other day... What was it:?

This bug moved like a bee, shaped like a bee, was dipping its proboscis into the flowers for the nectar just like a bee... But it was bright iridiscent green! Not black and yellow, no stripes... Never seen anything like it. Anyone know what it was?
