i found that if i verbs with a solution of bleach and hose down when i mop and clean counters and cabinet they seem to vacate
i don't know about outside because the guy that maintain our lawn take care of that whenever i tried to find rid of ants outside the stuff i bought never worked only the stuff a professional can bring back seems to work

this method will prevent you from using bait stations and will not wipe out the colony.
The best bait stations for sugar ants have be the inexpensive "Hot Shot" brand.
Sugar ants and Argentine ants seem to swarm to the attractant mixed next to the growth regulator.
Raid and Combat were not as potent for me, even when I supplemented the bait with honey or molasses.
Rad the instructions about placement in the trail pathway.
Here's a tip: My dogs are also attracted to the bait stations .
I place a bowl or sauce pan lying on the trap and then one or two of the heaviest can good [or a barbell] inside the pan/bowl, to obviously weigh it surrounded by place.
The pan/bowl will distribute the weight sufficiently so it won't crush the trap, while allowing the insects primed access.
I obviously purchased different products and would push for you to do the same surrounded by the event the ants you have attract to at lowest one station.
The growth regulators are all equally important.
Terro Liquid Anf Baits:
I love these things: you can watch the ants swarm them, and since they use boric sour, it's harmless to kids and pets, and will allow the ants to bring the bait spinal column to the nest, killing the queen.
I can take them at the supermarket or drug store. They're pretty cheap.
