Diquat or Paraquat. Be sure to read the label for legality and safety purposes.
I wish I had wild Violets. My daughter actually bought them and planted them in her yard. Are you sure someone before you didn't plant them? It's better than the prickly, nasty weeds I have, at least yours are pretty.
Is it a control issue or removal? If they need to be gone get a few gallons of White vinegar and a sprayer and spray the areas you don't want the plants to grow in. This is a good way to deal with plants and it is not a dangerous chemical. It will work best if used after any dew is gone and do it for a few days in a row. It is not as fast as an other method but it won't kill you in the mist, you just smell like pickles.
